Travel by Feb, but several of the resorts are closing in 29 days? Man they're all over the map on this one.

The only ones I see are Ocean Ridge which only has 2 HOAs that are closing (but 5+ that are staying), and Star Island, which Wyndham says will continue to have options but doesn't have any availability in the new year.

Some of the dates I looked at included 2BR Deluxe at Fairway Terrace as well as units at Marsh Pointe, Bay Pointe and The Village. I was looking in Middle January. None of those are closing.

I was able to book a stay at Margaritaville in Atlanta and got the 60% discount and double upgrade from a studio to a 2BR Deluxe
Did you actually reserve a Margaritaville unit or a Club Wyndham unit? We tried booking a Margaritaville unit there for a stay earlier this year but only Club Wyndham units were available.

I booked Margaritaville. Each inventory is in a different "resort" in the website. You can't upgrade from one into another.

I booked a Margaritaville Studio and it instant upgraded me to a Margaritaville 2BR Deluxe. When I checked the CW Atlanta inventory, they had nothing available on the dates I needed, so this kind of just worked out.

I have heard that at this resort the rooms are exactly the same size and layout, just different decor and the blenders everyone raves about

I tried checking for Margaritaville inventory there a few hours ago and couldn't see anything. Though we are using resale points. So not sure if that is why. We were able to book Margaritaville in Nashville without issue.

Last I checked, resale points at MVC Atlanta cannot be used - this has been the case since the report opened and is noted on the website.

I suspected that was why. Odd that they have different booking rules for the different properties. Perhaps because it is newer?

I think it was determined this is actually a non-VIP restriction, not only resale.

Could be. I recall the issue being discussed in the past. I was trying to find on the website where it indicated the exclusion as @HitchHiker71 had indicated. When I try to search availability I just get this error "This location is not eligible for the selected date range. Choose a different location or a different date range to proceed." Searching for a date that just doesn't have availability at the Club Wyndham Atlanta just indicates "No Matching Results". So there is an exclusion of some type vs. just lack of availability.

I can't even seem to just pull up property details for the Margaritaville Atlanta on the website via the Search Resorts function. Given that I am not eligible, the resort won't pull up. Though by going to the Margaritaville Nashville property and manipulating the URL to point to Georgia and Atlanta, I was able to bring up the resort details. Couldn't find anything noted there about restrictions either. The Member Directory also doesn't seem to have anything noted about VIP or resale restrictions.

Yes, it doesn't specifically say why we're not eligible, just that it's not eligible. The resort page used to have a message in place of the availability calendar that said something like "not available for your ownership type," but I just went there to get that language and now it actually provides a link to the availability calendar instead - where we then get the message that it's not eligible for the "selected date range," never mentioning that the selected date range (though I didn't select a date range) is every single date, lol.

I'm wondering if the reason it's now showing a link to the availability calendar is because there have been continuing intermittent glitches where the website will give the "not available for your ownership type" message on a normal resort that the owner isn't restricted from - so maybe they've just disabled that text entirely, including in the very few instances where it actually applies (in fact, it might be down to just this one now that the Outrigger associate hotels are out of the system).

That's the website working as designed - if you aren't eligible to book at a particular resort - it will not display in the resort search results. For example, when selecting Resale using the mobile app - MVC Atlanta simply won't display - because resale isn't eligible to book MVC Atlanta. Same with Club Pass resorts - they will not display when using resale. If you're using the MAC - it does allow you to select resale in the drop-down when on MVC Atlanta - but nothing will display since resale points are ineligible.

Yes, but harping on my continuing refrain of "Wyndham could solve a lot of problems by simply communicating better with words," there is nowhere on the website that says that only VIP owners can book Margaritaville Atlanta. That would save a lot of questions (including the fact that we had to determine it was not resale specifically, but non-VIP in general, by finding a TUG member who was developer non-VIP to check).

Got a pop-up on the full desktop website version for this promotion this morning as well:

Perhaps as designed, but could be considered an implementation flaw. If I am not eligible for to book the property at all, why allow it to show up in the drop down for me to pick. I know Wyndham IT ain't all that and nothing is perfect, so I guess it is good enough, but could still be designed and implemented better. Just because something is working as designed doesn't mean the design is good.

Because the Adobe platform used to develop the website doesn’t support context sensitivity for the field type being used. I’m familiar with the platform in use and am aware of what the supported field types can and cannot do. You can configure the list of what appears in the field drop down list, however the drop-down type being used is not programmatic and therefore it cannot be used to support variable lists of what appears based upon other context variables.

You can programmatically determine whether the field itself does or does not display based upon contextual variables, which is being used based upon the membership type, but the values that appear within the drop-down field cannot be contextual.
