We are going to WOIRC the end of march and was looking for info on which build, unit etc to ask for at the resort. I know the place is on I drive but is there a better unit/building and up or low. Going with 2 teenage girls that like pools and stuff.

thanks

I just spent last week at this resort. When we drove up to the resort I was a little shocked at the appearance as it looked like an older 2 story motel. The interior was a pleasant surprise as it was fairly modern, clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our week. I didn't make any requests beforehand but was assigned unit #212 which was a 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom unit on the 2nd floor. The 2 bedrooms are townhouse style with the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs, as well as washer & dryer. I would think that the one bedroom units are on the main floor. This is a small resort with the units surrounding the pool area in a U-shape. I think any building would be fine. The resort is in a convenient location as International Drive is one block away and the outlet mall is also a block away in the opposite direction. I hope you have a great vacation!

We've stayed at OIRC twice now and will be back. It's quiet and welcoming. The manager of the resort checked us in and there was no parking pass tango at all. My understanding is that all the units are 2 BR. The main consideration is stairs...no elevators. The downstairs units are all at parking lot level. The upstairs are up one floor for the living area and up another flight to the bedrooms. The upstairs units have 3 bathrooms...one downstairs.

Your unit will be either overlooking the pool or the game courts. Choose either bouncing balls or splashing :D We love sitting on the screened lanai and didn't find the bit of bouncing too annoying.

This resort is so close to Universal. Do they offer a free shuttle to Universal? That would get me to try it. We do own Wyn points there, ironically.

heading down on sat and will update next week about the resort. In looking at the TUG review site there are no recent pictures.. I will be sure to take and upload a lot of images of the location both inside unit and outside of the grounds etc..

cheers :D

got back from Wyndham Orlando International Resort and please to say it was nice.

Sorta small for orlando resorts go and more of a hotel look but all in all a nice place to call home for the week.

It a close drive to universal which was nice. After a couple day of theme parks we dropped the girls off at universal and headed to sarasota to pick up airstream we had looked at and purchased the month before.

Luckily they have a nice overflow parking lot across street we put trailer in for thur night and pulled out fri afternoon to drop girl at airport , sandford one up north and head to RV park in GA for the night.

Traffic heading down was a bear with several stops on I-95 S for no reason. coming back was just as bad with several mile or more back ups. With google maps traffic we avoided most of them by taking off routes and when pulling a 30 TT is a bit nicer as speed are slower.

I posted review and lots of recent pictures as well today.. might be up by weekend depending on work load of mods..

good place and units are upper townhouse type with bedroom on top floor, lower 2 bed unit with all on one level.

nice place in good location and i highly recommend it. :D
