Wyndham making significant cutbacks

The cutbacks include scaling back the timeshare business. Apparently there will be layoffs in sales and marketing in addition to a slowdown or outright stoppage of construction.

The earnings call is tomorrow at 8:30. Guess I'll have to dial in and see what this means overall.

Any and all development has been stopped. Boy did David Walters sell at the right time, maybe he buys the property back for about what he paid for it but now has so many more buildings?

This is not good news but I think we all knew that WYN had to be affected by the economy. I like the statement that WYN will continue with their price increases on the TS, sounds like a logical way to spur more sales, Not!!

Lets all hope they can make it through this.

I would think that "YOU" would know that NOBODY is going to build the clubhouse. They were too busy building all of the other buildings (and selling them to the "sheep"---er, I mean "suckers", er, I mean "good,honest,
"haven't a clue" people", for BIG BUCKS !!!), with the "promise" of the new clubhouse, and swimming pool area being built and completed "SOON" !!!

Will the "promised" facilities be built in your lifetime??? You decide. (Of course, developers "never" lie !!!)
