If you are an American returning from one of the subjects countries you too will fall into this category.

Darn, I was hoping this meant they could cancel their OWNERSHIPS. But alas, it's just reservations, and just for people who have recently visited the above laundry list of countries, AND the freebie cancellations are only allowed until 3/20/20, about 2 weeks hence.

This is a 'nothing burger', made to look like they are doing something, while having minimal detrimental effect on Wyndham. Baaah Humbug!

I read this differently. I don't see anything about owners returning from anywhere. If it is about someone returning from an overseas vacation, there's no reservation to cancel anymore.

The way I read it, it applies to an owner from one of the named countries who has a reservation in the US. Those people may cancel without penalty until March 20, 2020.

If anyone has an idea of the resorts typically visited by people from those countries, there may be an opportunity for the next couple of weeks to pick up some cancellations.

It's owners and guests traveling from one of the subject countries. If you were in China and returned home to the US, you could cancel your reservation.

Airlines doing the same. Offer only good until 3/31/2020.

What reservation would the person returning to the US from China want to cancel? The blurb says nothing about people returning from those countries.

I think they are talking about owners and guests who live in all those places who have reservations in the US.

It isn't as though they are asking if you have been in one of these countries within the past 14 days and not allowing you to be a guest if you had been. Been there, done that.

This is more of a courtesy to guests.

So if you need to cancel your spring break reservation, you can without penalty? I don't see how they are going to verify if you were in those countries.

Disney still has insane wait times when I opened the app. I don't see Orlando dieing down much.

I don't think the actual death rate is near 3.
5% like they are reporting. My guess is that most people infected aren't getting tested because to someone with a normal immune system, it's just a cold/flu. I read South Korea was only 0.6% because they tested an insane amount of people.

The cruise lines have a form to sign. DCL physically looked through every single passport for a stamp. So now our passports have a DCL sticker on the back. Well seven out of eight of them do. But that method only works if you get your passport stamped.

Disney is crazy busy right now. Four hours for Flight of Passage. We did Rise of the Resistance twice. Got there at 7am. Our boarding group was called at 7pm. There were people EVERYWHERE. I saw one mask.

Boarding groups are the luck of the draw. We did Rise twice as well (this past Friday and Saturday), both times arrived after 7:30am, both times boarding groups called before 10:30am. Current wait for FoP is 110 minutes, which is also what it was when we rode it with FP earlier today around 12:30.

Any chance a person from the good old USA cab=n cancel without penalty?? I'm going to call tomorrow. I rented a room to a friend, who has a compromised immune system, so he isn't travelling anywhere right now.

We’re in this boat. We were booked at Margaritaville Nashville from 3/11-3/15 for the SEC basketball tournament. We went up yesterday and attended the games last night. Between games, the SEC made an announcement that due to coronavirus concerns, fans would not be allowed in the arena for the remainder of the tournament. We decided to checkout this morning and return home. While driving home, we heard the tournament was cancelled entirely. When we checked out, the clerk told us to call Owner Care and see if we could get some of the points refunded. She said they couldn’t do anything there but their manager told them to tell everyone who checked out due to the cancellation to call Wyndham and tell them what happened. My wife called the VIP line (we’re silver VIP) this afternoon and explained the situation. The rep put my wife on hold and called Customer Care herself. She came back several minutes later and said that we would need to call back on Monday. She explained that since we checked in, they couldn’t access the reservation and cancel it. She said they hoped on Monday they would be able to do something because it would be after our checkout date.

So, we were very pleased that they want to do something but disappointed that their system is so draconian that we have to wait a few days to find out if they actually can.

Just got an email saying that reservations prior to May 15, 2020 can now be canceled online or by phone up to 24 hours in advance and will get points and transaction returned to your account within 72 hours of the cancellation.
