Wyndham has totally messed up our account during the transfer of our resale contracts to new owners

Sounds a bit like when they did the first major system upgrade a few years back. We all had to re-register our accounts. mine kept disappearing and I had to re-register 3-4 times. The last time, the account stuck around, but all my points disappeared. I believe my existing reservations stayed, so I was good for a bit. But it took Wyndham months and multiple calls to locate my points and get them back into my account. After the first month, they lost the ticket and I had to start all over. Then they ended up having to do a full points audit, which takes months because they apparently don't do very quickly. They never gave me any updates despite promising a weekly call. I called them every couple weeks and they never could tell me anything. Finally my points miraculously appeared thankfully just a couple weeks before it would have started causing me lost vacations. They finally called a few days later to let me know the audit determined I should have all the points I told them I should have. Wyndham can be challenging to deal with and get things corrected. Not sure how they keep losing accounts and points. Good luck. I hope they fix this for you soon!

I was pointing out an undenyable fact. She even backed me up on this. Her account is a mismash of probably dozens of resales, converted fixed weeks, legacy hawaiian timeshares which Wyndham bought... in a few words it was a mess, and it's any wonder it ever worked reliably considering how much of a mess Wyndham IT is.

Like I said, I truly am sorry for the fact that they are going through this, but it's self inflicted. Us "mere mortals" who didn't acquire millions of points in an attempt to make money will never have to deal with such nonsense. Again, fact... sorry if that offends you.
TUG used to be a different place. We used to share on TUG and not attack each other for having rental businesses. It's been really difficult to read your nasty posts on the subject.

The advice here was always great. A lot of people were renting Wyndham and Bluegreen and WorldMark. Lots of sharing happened. Too bad you missed it because it was friendly and sincere and kind.

I truly do feel bad that you are going through this. It's a shame Wyndham seems to have their documentation skills so lacking. And that you are suffering as a result.

But I have to imagine that some of your accounts are a complete horror show. Years and years of buying and selling and mixture of resales and retail and perhaps even converted fixed weeks contributed to the issues you are going through, no doubt. And considering most of the points accumulated were to facilitate your renting habits... I think you would admit deep down that it's contributing to your issues.

I'm sure others, as they exit their timeshare rental empire are or will be going through the same things.
Sorry to ruin your day. I am not one of those people giving back. 21 months later, I am still ticking. Maybe if you pray hard enough that will no longer be the case.

The inept people at Wyndham drive me nuts.
Should have see what I went thru last night. I am staying at one of the resorts and I left my cousins name at the front desk after I checked in for them to allow him access. Except he could not get in. I made a major mistake. I left his name as Bob with the same last name as mine. Except his photo ID said Robert. They had to try to locate me to fix it. I had mixed feelings about this. They could not figure it out? But I could not get mad. Hearing the horror stories on the news about guests being attacked in their rooms because the front desk gave the attackers keys without checking ID, I could not get mad at someone who was paying attention to detail.

My rebuttal to Troy. He keeps bringing up how us renters are greedy people who bought millions of points so we can make money. He may be correct on a few but I am pretty sure many people renting are doing the same as I. It was NEVER about the money. It was about family.

My family struggled in life. We were raised by a widowed mom because our father died when we were children. We were the working class poor that most people forgets about. We did not have the luxuries of life . Since I was 14 years old, I always worked 2 or 3 jobs as did my mom and my fellow siblings. Currently I run my own business and work 2 part time jobs during my slow periods.

As many of you can figure out with my wheeling and dealing, I am the hustler of my family. I create the situation and then share it with them.

I am aging and I am tired. I was going to give something up. But I did not because I bought VIP for my family. My sister asked me why I did not do as I planned because I am worn down. I told her how I bought VIP for us all. I told her I could not afford it. I was not taking money out of my retirement account to pay for it. I was going to try to rent it to pay for it so we all can take vacations. If I cannot rent it, I would be working like I did for another 10 years.

But if I succeeded and did get it paid off, she could take over when I died and enjoy taking trips she normally cannot afford until the day she died. Unf. I jinxed her. 3 months later she was diagnosed with cancer and died 5 years later. She was never able to go. So her sons are benefitting from what I did.

So the key word for this person Troy is money, money, money. The key word for me is family and opportunity. Sadly, this is what the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave is becoming. It is no longer the land of equal opportunity. It is becoming the land of equal results. Those who do not hustle want the same rewards of those who did, but they do not want to take the risks. So they attack those who took the risks and were successful.

Have any of you ever had the pleasure of talking to John in Owner Resolutions, who is in Joplin, MO? He is very knowledgeable, and you are lucky to get him on the phone. He is kind and sincere and knows his stuff because he has been at Wyndham for twelve years.

Rick called Owner Resolutions today again about not seeing our account, trying to get a list of reservations we have, but no one can see the reservations. Talked to Nathan at first, who basically hung up on Rick because Rick told him that we have two accounts, and Nathan kept on insisting that we have only one account. Well, of course we can only log into one account, but we are worried about our reservations in the account we cannot see. He says there is "no such account" with reservations. You have no future reservations in your account.

After Nathan rudely hung up, Rick called back and talked to John, who said he knows this happens, and that all of our reservations are probably intact, but we should call Bonnet Creek and make sure. He also made a note on our account he can see that we have concerns about our reservations.

I knew John from a previous issue we had a few years ago. I told Rick, "Hey, that is the guy who is in Missouri, right?" John heard me and said, "Yes, I am in Missouri." He was so pleased that I remembered him. Distinct voice.
I always appreciated the expertise and competency of the Missouri people. Seem to be the best, IMO.

@Jan M. I know of what you speak with wrong owners on the accounts because our paymentus had the main owner on our account as someone named Abigail Emily Johnson, who was a renter of our daughter's that did buy while staying on our points. She bought a small account and was suddenly listed on our entire account. She didn't buy from us, the salespeople kept our daughter's email on her new ownership. That is as close as we can get to understanding what happened.

Really terrible, disjointed company with so many issues, it's almost unbelievable. Adding paymentus to the system has been a nightmare for us because we already had it through Shell.

I was going to start a Paymentus thread but it was kind of trivial so I'll post here instead.

I checked Paymentus yesterday for the first time in weeks (months?). According to Paymentus, I have one account -- a Shell account with one contract that has been sold. My Wyndham account disappeared.

The Wyndham contracts appear in the My Contracts section of My Ownership but not in Paymentus.

Paymentus is just one more disaster by Wyndham. I received an email to inform me that my credit card is expiring in June and to be sure to set up my new credit card. I went into the account, and all I see is the payment for ARDA, which I don't want to be fooled into paying.

This is insane, we kinda had this happen on Easter.
My son & his buddy had to travel for work and was staying in a hotel in Chattanooga on Easter-

We made the 3hour drive to meet them. I tried calling his cell but he wasn’t awake yet...Stopped by the desk, gave them my sons name thinking they would call the room but he wasn’t a “registered“ guest. I explained that his car was in the parking lot and gave a brief description of him physically and mentioned where they working…The clerk then said there was some sort of block room reservation for TVA workers and handed us room KEYS!

i was shocked! Granted I probably didn’t appear threatening, possibly crazy with bunny ears and baskets in tow, but i was not happy at all to see how lax they were on a basic security/privacy level. I thanked her and asked if she could call up to the room and explain I was in the lobby.
