So I'm finally into the Club Wyndham and found that I can't get any points values from RCI unless I deposit points irrevocably apparently. This is worse than the HGVC RCI interface where you can search and see the points without committing the points.

But while I was clicking around on the site looking at all this - they had a whole suggested thing about II. I thought Wyndham was RCI only, but this KB article seemed to imply that if I was willing to sit on the phone and (for some reason) make the person on the phone search for me and tell me what's available etc, I could then book through that for the lesser exchange fee? Is this true? I don't honestly understand why Club Wyndham would do this at all - either not do II or have it be another portal you can click through.

You can search and see point values on RCI through the Wyndham portal without making a deposit. Just click on “exchange” and then search for what you are looking for. No idea about being able to trade through II, but it looks like maybe you’re right?: https://clubwyndham.wyndhamdestinat...nto,book your Interval International vacation.

Fido is correct. You do not need anything on deposit. And no you cannot use Wyndham points in II. Thant used to be possible for a small handful of owners but unless you were already one of them, no dice.

Must be one of their "website glitches" to show me that page, and have it basically not be a thing.

They were four resorts in Wyndham
Governors Green
Star Island
Riverside Suites
lime tree formerly Bluebeard

Wyndham tried to switch every owner who had II at these resorts. They sent a letter saying you would be automatically switched unless you sent a letter saying you wanted to keep your II account but switched you anyway. luckily I sent my letter Certified receipt requested. Woman and number who help me switch my account back is no longer.

I own at Governors Green

Do you really have to call every time you want to use it?

To deposit in II you have to call repeatedly until a rep knows what to do. yes

Daniel

To expand on Daniel's post, if you have a weeks ownerships at the following resorts (not an exhaustive list, but they appear in the II directory) and pay for your own II account they should be able to be deposited to II:
Avenue Plaza
Governors Green
Star Island
Riverside Suites
Lime Tree formerly Bluebeard
Bay Voyage
Inn on the Harbor
Long Wharf
Royal Vista
Shawnee Village
Ka'Eo Kai

I have deposited an Avenue Plaza week twice. If you have a a Wyndham points account there are only a handful of owners remaining with the ability to deposit points to II, and no way for new owners to do so.

Read this - @hjtug is/was an II Wyndham owner.
I had a Wyndham II Corporate (paid by Wyndham) account.

But they did away with this affiliation 5/6 years ago.

Sorry, I left an important word out of my post which I just fixed.

You are one of a handful of owners then with the ability remaining to deposit points to II. They discontinued that option a few years ago and anyone left with that capability had to affirmatively respond that they wished to keep that option, else Wyndham switched them to an RCI account and will not change it back.

That link IS interesting as they make it seem as if you can use II. What is described there is exactly the procedure I used to use and that is the points chart.

Kind of crazy that it is still on the Wyndham website, as they have not permitted this since 2017

Did they do away with II entirely? I know you had to respond to them to keep it, and Daniel seems to indicate he can still deposit points in II. Hjtug said in 2020 that a conversation with Wyndham indicated the number of people still with II accounts was down to single digits.

I am no longer a Wyndham owner.
I purposely bought Royal Vista first to get II access.
@northovr must be one of the few remaining members.

@northovr ,how long have you been a Wyndham owner and what resort was your first purchase allowing you to have a corporate II account?

@hjtug hasn’t been in tug since 8/2021
