Hi! I have 2 Wyndham timeshares purchased via resale, thanks to TUG! Wyndham sales keeps contacting me to purchase the Club Access, which allows 13 months early access booking to 75 other resorts. They want me to buy 84,000 points. I keep telling them I purchased resale due to afforability. Can anyone tell me why I would need this program?
Thanks

Only you can answer that question for you. I assume you have some idea where you want to go. If you already have 2 Wyndham contracts then you probably have site access. Look up the places you might want to go at the 10 month out point and see if you even need earlier bookings

Thanks. I am not 100% sure what Access is buying me. If it is just 13 month access I do not really need that.

It is buying you Club Wyndham Access Points, no direct deeded ownership. I am not convinced it offers anything of significance to me over a traditional Club Wyndham Plus (UDI deeded) contract.

86.000 points do not go very far for early access.

Thanks. I hate to spend $20k or so on early access.

Resale CWA gives you the same ARP benefits as a direct purchase of CWA points from Wyndham. If you want CWA points just buy resale like you have in the past

Thank you very much! As new to ownership, what is CWA and ARP?
CWA - Club Wyndham Access. You aren’t buying a deeded contract at a specific resort. CWA owns the deeds at over 75 resorts. You are buying points in a Club or membership called Club Wyndham Access.
ARP - Advanced Reservation Period. The 10-13 month reservation period
At 10 months points are points as we like to say. Your deeded points and CWA points can be combined for reservations at the 10 month mark for reservations

We welcome all questions here!

And since you are already familiar with resale points, if you really want CWA you can buy it on the resale market too. It is not uncommon to see CWA points for sale. You might sometimes have to be patient and wait for them to show up, but often times there are several CWA contracts for sale at the same time on ebay. Since they seem to be more in demand and tend to have an average maintenance fee that it unlikely to have large special assessments, you might have to compete a little more and pay slightly higher prices than for some deeded resorts. But overall, if you do your homework and are patient and aren't tempted to overbid, you are going to pay roughly the same for a CWA resale contract on ebay as you would for other desired resale contracts.
