Wyndam to build 520 units on Shawnee Mt. in PA?

Just got back from Shawnee, and went to the sales presentation to find out the skinny on Wyndam and Shawnee. Was told by sales person that they really can't do anything with the old units, but will be building an additional 40 units in the Shawnee Village section and building a new ski in/out complex with 520 or so units on Shawnee Mountain with an indoor waterpark to boot. They are giving a year or so "free skiing" to new members who purchase there, and the MF fees seem reasonable. Should be ready for booking in about 1.5 years? or did she say next year?

Could be true in that they have a lot of land that came with the buyout of Shawnee Management Inc. Could also be a distortion of the approval they receied from the local town to complete the final phase of a 500 unit mixed housing/timeshare project that has been largely finished (80% or so is my memory) for years and sold as residential homes.

I remember the building of Shawnee Northslope not to many years back. Now a 1/4 annual share sometimes sells for under $1000 on EBay. Fees make it a terrible real estate investment. Want a real investment, buy a local condo and a cheap timeshare week so you still get discounts and year-round "club" priviledges at the common areas for both Golf and Skiing.
