I just received the following email from Wyndom.....on the level or a hoax??It does come with a Wyndom letter head and an address in Orlando.

Dear GERALD GROB,

Effective November 14, 2011 CLUB WYNDHAM PLUS’ Returned Item Fees will increase to the amount allowed under state law. Your state amount is $20.00.

This Returned Item Fee will only be charged to your account if your payment is returned unpaid by your bank.

For Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT): if your payment is returned unpaid, you authorize CLUB WYNDHAM Plus to make a one-time EFT from your account to collect the Returned Item Fee.

Sincerely,

Wyndham Vacation Resorts

Looks legit, I got one two, mine says $25, Wisconsin's maximum. If they attempt to charge you account for maintenance fees and it's declined they can charge you $25 and you authorise them to make one attempt at doing so.....

Tell them that you "DO NOT" authorize the "one time" ETF from your account !!! --- LOL !!!

Tony

Is that possible?

No. They were joking. The letter is for those whose payment is set up to draw as an EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). The purpose is to provide notice of what the overdraft charges will be if your EFT payment is rejected for insufficient funds (just like a check bouncing for insufficient funds).

I do not think so. I am on EFT and did not get the letter.
