I was quoted almost the exact same deal, but they had me finance it by opening up a credit card account and putting the 2800 balance on it. I just did this on Sunday and I am wondering if I can cancel it by sending in the rescinding papers to the Orlando office or the Las Vegas office. Will faxing it suffice? I rescinded a timeshare type of Discovery package through Holiday Inn Vacation Club a few years back and I had to send them a fax and also write them a letter. The sales group is just down the road as I am still here in Destin, FL and about to leave in the morning. Any suggestions for help would be greatly appreciated. I might be on the hook for this 2800, but definitely not going to be buying the timeshare through them. If I do, it will be through resale, if at all.

Let the advice begin...

Send it where and how your paperwork says to send it.

Use those skills and check out the Bluegreen system. Of course don't buy retail unless you really study it and like it. I bought them on the resale market and like the system better than W. YMMV.

Printed, will make a copy of that and the original contract, send it certified mail with receipt. Phew...maybe I should rent some points from someone before I buy to see if I like it.
