Ian, did you have Travelshare to begin with and then purchased more resale?
I think the confusion lies with the fact that the OP is combining resale TS credits with his/her current TS account.
yes, you are correct. Travelshare is developer program, non transferable except immediate family member. What could be transferred is the (regular) Worldmark account
OP will still retain TS in his/her account, but only for the current 6k. As far as I know, any resale additions (i.e., this new 6k contract) will lose TS status upon transfer and combination. Annual renewals (if starting at zero points) will appear as 6k WM and 6k WMTS in the same account.
it is WTS...
I am uncertain on the ramifications of this. I would figure that affiliate resorts could only be booked using WMTS credits. Would there be a corresponding limitation on being able to make RCI or II exchanges for the WM credits?
yes, if you book non-WM resorts, it requires WTS credits. No limit for exchange as all credits are essentially WM credits, and it is WM credits for exchange.
At the very least, OP should request (via phone call) that regular WM credits be used first when making reservations for resorts that don't require TS. This should preserve the WMTS credits for the off-chance they could be used at an affiliate, etc.
