I'm looking to purchase another 6,000 WorldMark points to combine with my current Travelshare points. I spoke to two individuals at Wyndham. One of the individuals stated that Travelshare was transferrable during resale and the other said it was not transferrable.

Has anyone had any luck in receiving Travelshare points on a resale purchase of WorldMark? If so, please share your experience and or strategy. Thank you in advance!

Travelshare is not transferable unless its to an immediate family member. The Wyndham employee who told you it was transferable is wrong. I've purchased a number of accounts which were travelshare and they converted when transferred.

Ian, did you have Travelshare to begin with and then purchased more resale?

I think the confusion lies with the fact that the OP is combining resale TS credits with his/her current TS account.

OP will still retain TS in his/her account, but only for the current 6k. As far as I know, any resale additions (i.e., this new 6k contract) will lose TS status upon transfer and combination. Annual renewals (if starting at zero points) will appear as 6k WM and 6k WMTS in the same account.

I am uncertain on the ramifications of this. I would figure that affiliate resorts could only be booked using WMTS credits. Would there be a corresponding limitation on being able to make RCI or II exchanges for the WM credits?

At the very least, OP should request (via phone call) that regular WM credits be used first when making reservations for resorts that don't require TS. This should preserve the WMTS credits for the off-chance they could be used at an affiliate, etc.

yes, you are correct. Travelshare is developer program, non transferable except immediate family member. What could be transferred is the (regular) Worldmark account

it is WTS...

yes, if you book non-WM resorts, it requires WTS credits. No limit for exchange as all credits are essentially WM credits, and it is WM credits for exchange.

it does not work that way. System does FIFO shuffle and they are sorted out by exp. dates unless any reservation specifically required WTS credit. One exception is when you don't have enough credits to book affiliate. If you have WTS tied in regular WM booking and have enough WM credits to replace them, you may call VPC to switch them, then book affiliates with WTS credits. You need to complete the booking on the same day prior to nightly shuffle
