Anyone have low MF Worldmark on resale? Already own HGVC but will consider low MF to go to more local places in Northern California. Prefer MF less than 600. Thx

$600 for MF only gets you 5000 credits. Which is about half a week in a 2 bedroom at the older resorts every year. The fees are less per credit for larger accounts.

There are no price differences in Worldmark in maintenance fee. There is a difference between resale price and developer price regarding buy in. The maintenance fee's are calculated by how many points you have. I linked the MF schedule below.

Actually, there can be a price difference in WorldMark in maintenance fees if you take into account the residence club fractional at certain resorts (i.e., Seaside, Whale Pointe (Depoe Bay), and South Shore). They're actually fixed four week a year ownerships, I believe, and can be converted to WorldMark points if you aren't using a particular week through a specific provision in the TEN Agreement for $35 rather than the Exchange Plus fee of $129 and get more credits. One sold on eBay a year or so ago; I had bid on it, but a fellow tugger won the auction. The MFs/credit work out to be lower than the standard WorldMark dues with those, but they do have MFs higher than $600.

We had thought about buying a Residence Club 2 bedroom unit at Seaside. We decided the buy in was too high @ $54,000 for a three bed unit. After reading your post I had to look again and the price had dropped for some of these units to about $38.000. The mf is about $650 a week for the 4 weeks which is about half of the $1250 a week for a 3 bed delux in WM.

What was the selling price on Ebay ? Maybe I should be looking there because I think if the price was right I might buy one of these. The other Residence Club we like even better is Depoe Bay or Whale Point.

IIRC, it went for just over $2K. It was a South Shore (Lake Tahoe) one; I believe it was a 2 BR. Whoever sold it did so through a broker that didn't understand what it was or how much more they probably could have gotten for it. Haven't seen one come up since. Here was a thread that had been going on about that one:
