No news from WorldMark Hunt. I assume it was sold out over the 4th. The resort is high above the river, but with reports of no electricity or running water in the area, as well as road closures, Iwe wonder how they are doing…

I was at Worldmark Marble Falls for the July 4th weekend. Never seen that much rain in Hill Country.

Like Hunt, MF location is at the top of the hill, so no chance of getting flooded. However Hunt has some watercrossing to access the resort, MF is closer to town and main roads, none of which were flooded over near the resort.

I don't think Hunt was booked solid. But they were likely in the area with a lot of rainfall.

The Hill Country of Texas has been devastated by recent flooding. At this time, WorldMark Stablewood Springs is closed and inaccessible, with local officials restricting access to the area to only first responders and residents. There is significant damage to roadways and the surrounding community. We anticipate the resort will remain closed through a least July 18, which is likely to be extended based on local conditions.

All reservations during this time period will be cancelled. All unit inventory is on hold through the end of the month. We encourage owners with travel plans to the area to consider alternative locations in TX or reschedule their vacation for after the community has recovered.

My comments to give you perspective

To give you an idea where the property is it is between Johnson Creek which is to the North and the Guadalupe which is to the South. Some flooding happen to the north side on Johnson Creek, and big flooding happened to the south on the main branch of the Guadalupe. Camp Mystic is even farther up the Guadalupe River. Johnson Creek joins the Guadalupe in Ingram.

I'm not familiar with the area but did your post #4 with the comments of the resort being built on higher ground. Was any of the resort property flooded or was it just the access ?

The resort is all along the crest of a hill. It is on the high ground for miles around. It is only the access road, which has a water crossing, that had issues. And that access road eventually exits to a main road that runs parallel to the river, which also has issues.

You can see the resort is on this high ground. Easier to visualize this way....

Resort noticed updated.

Further update

The Hill Country of Texas was devastated by flooding in early July. While WorldMark Stablewood Springs is ready to welcome owners to the resort beginning Aug. 4th, please be aware that local officials are restricting access to some roadways, including those navigating to the resort. There is a checkpoint in effect, where you will be asked to show ID and proof of your reservation at the resort. We highly recommend that you bring your printed confirmation with you to show as proof to the checkpoint. Please note: the checkpoint is maintained by law enforcement officers, and they may deny entry at their discretion.

As you plan your for your stay at WorldMark Stablewood Springs, be sure to research the status of local activities and attractions, as many remain closed. The Guadalupe River is expected to be inaccessible for several months. For those wishing to have activities planned outside the resort, we recommend you consider a day trip to Fredericksburg, known for its German heritage and wineries.
