Has anyone heard of this outfit? I was contacted by telephone and offered a resale proposal for more than my purchase price . Did not ask for $ (yet) but wanted me to sign acceptance and provide copy of my original agreement face sheet. Comments?

The fact that they contacted you first and are proposing to sell for more than your purchase price are two sure-fire signs of a scam.

Even though they did not ask for any money yet, what they will likely do (we hear of this on these boards so frequently) is they will tell you that they have closed a deal. The "buyer" has paid and there's a huge cheque waiting for you. But, in order to release those funds to you, you need to pay some sort of fee or tax that does not exist.

Once you pay them, they will tell you (if they respond at all) that the "buyer" has backed out or could not get the financing, etc. Then, you are out that money. Do not fall for it!

X2 what Lanny said. You have a great answer - don't ignore it and try to deal with them or you are very likely to lose money.

Received similar offer in Mexico

Interesting, we received a call from those guys also with a resale proposal and they gave us 48 hours to accept/decline the offer, I was googling about this company and found this thread, per comments this definitely look like a scam.

Thanks , Lanny. Good advice.

World Property Connections

I was also contacted by them. I did a little research and their address in Houston is a virtual office. There are also zero references to World Property Connections on the internet other than their own website and now this thread. That seems suspicious. I am highly doubtful that this is legit...everyone I have spoken with about this cautions me against any timeshare cold call to sell or rent my points. What resort are they calling about? I'm wondering how they got our information.

World Property Connections...

They claim to have a list of names who have shown interest in selling their timeshares. It is not an up to date list as they hadaged information about mine. They are very clever, though .

Word Property Connections

I also have been contacted by this group. They use "Advantage Trust International" (ATI) in Chicago to handle their closings. Does anyone know anything about ATI?
What in the world is the scam? I don't get it. Of course I won't give anyone any money, so how can they harm me?
Thank you,
SL

Copied the below from their WEB page: I think it said it all. Pay them, and if a Attorney is needed, pay the attorney. I wonder why the middle person would be needed. Just go to the attorney in the proper jurisdication.

Important notice: please be aware that in certain states, an attorney must be involved in the transfer of timeshare property. Advantage Trust International can make all necessary arrangements, but any and all necessary attorney fees must be charged in addition to normal timeshare closing costs ...

eventually you will be asked for money and the sale will fall apart

World Property Suite Connections South West Houston, Texas would buy us at a price greater than the original price cost our timeshare in Los Cabos, Mexico. But they say that the contract must be signed before the buyer's remorse quickly. Asked to sign a contract that will not be registered in the U.S. and the courts for litigation will be those of a specific county in Texas. Why these conditions if the owner and the tourist facilities are in Mexico? this could be a fraud? comments?

They are going to ask you for a large (bogus) fee before the deal closes, and then they will disappear - we hear about this scheme every day - don't do it!
