Fabulous indoor water park should keep the kids happy -- so if you take the timeshare tour for freebies, hold out for free water park admission all week. Otherwise, they will charge admission every time you go. They may charge admission anyhow, but at least get them to offer discounts for taking the hard-sell sales pitch.

If Jason Bishop is there (illusionist) he is definately worth seeing. I have seen the show at least a dozen times, my daughter many times, and some of the grandkids we have brought in the past keep asking if he will be there in June again while they are with us. (they have seen him 2-3 times)

Grandkids seemed to like just hanging around the activity buildings playing ping-pong and using the pool. they did also enjoy family movie night even though each time they had already seen the movie showing.

Activities from Massanutten

I have really enjoyed the visit to President Jefferson's Monticello across the mountain at Charlottesville. And on the way we have enjoyed Blue Ridge pottery. Another good presidential site is Madison's Montpelier near Orange, Virginia.

Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton is GREAT for kids. Also the Civil War sites - particularly the Hall of Valor (?). What age are the kids?

Jumping in for some advice

We will be at the Summit in a 4 bedroom for Easter week -- April 2 through 9. We will have us, daughter and SIL, granddaughter and GSIL and three great-grandkids -- boys 3 and 13 and girl 8.

This is the first time we have gone as a family -- it has always been just the two of of us on an exchange into a two bedroom, but we took the plunge and bought the four bedroom unit so we could take the family.

We are planning on one day at Monticello and one day at the Waterpark. The Museum in Stauton sounds good also.

As I said on another thread, we are considering taking the tour for the money to pay for extra time at the Waterpark and/or one of the dinners. Does anyone know if all three adult couples will be offered tours? We will each have a car, so we will all have to go throught the parking pass drill.

What is the most anyone has ever gotten for a Massanutten tour? If we do go on the tour, we will probably take an early offer to get it out of the way so that we have the money to spend. (Unfortunately, all three kids are extremely well behaved. :cheer: Their mother would not allow us teach them to whine for even a day.)

I would also like to know if anyone has Entertainment numbers for Charlottesville and Harrisonburg? We have two books for other areas and I would like to use the cards if we can. Restaurant.com has some promising looking places for Charlottesville, but the biggest certificate is only for $25.00.

Thanks for any help!
