Our family is considering a skiing destination for Spring break next year (2nd week of March). We typically go somewhere warm Florida, or California, so we haven't explored any of the cold weather destinations yet. Where have you gone for skiing and how did it work out?

Our skiing days are behind us, but have enjoyed several stays at Park City.

It doesn't get much more ski in // ski out than this: Maps link

Spring break reservations might be a tough nut to crack. Reserve *well*
in advance if you're choosy about dates - research how far in advance
your ownership can reserve and then log on at the very *minute* available.

I'm guessing @CO skier will chime in with many ideas...

Park City, UT 100%. We go every year and it’s definitely our favorite. Wyndham Park City is at the base of the Canyons (PCMR) with the Frostwood gondola right outside. Heated pool and two hot tubs. Normally are able to ski in although with the lack of snow this season it was necessary to take the gondola back down when we were there last month. Park City also has a nice free bus system if you don’t wish to rent a car.

We just returned from an RCI exchange to Breckenridge and had an OK time but it definitely reinforced how much we enjoy and would much rather go to Park City.

Park City or Steamboat.

My family is at Steamboat this week (not at the Wymdham) and it was in the 70's all week, super warm, but they were able to keep snow on the mountain.

I was not able to get them a reservation because they let me know too late and it was booked up by the time I tried.

Also avon, co. One can hit multiple ski resorts with free shuttle/bus service just by the wyndham resort. Ofcourse there is a gondola across the street too. Pretty resort and nice hot tub waterfall but no swimming pool

Expensive points cost since it's a PR-only resort, and peak times are extremely tough to book if you are not a PR owner, but yeah

We did a spring break ski trip to Colorado a couple of years ago - Breckenridge. It was actually our first time doing anything like that too since we usually go somewhere warm.

For us it worked out better than expected. Mornings had really good snow, afternoons got a bit slushy, but it wasn’t a big deal since we were just learning anyway. It felt busy because of spring break but everything was very organized and easy to figure out even as beginners.

Breckenridge is the best ski mountain for beginner skiers, for sure! Great town as well.
