Staying at Greensprings Vacation Resort a Diamond Resort
Formerly Sunterra Greensprings Plantation Williamsburg VA

Requested and was able to get one of the newly
Remodeled four (4) Bedroom C/D lock-out suites

Wayport Internet is $29.95 per week - Local and 800 Calls are $.25 each

Spent the past 3 days at Busch Gardens Williamsburg Theme Park
First day we exchanged our paperwork for annual passes & looked around.
Second day we strolled the park and enjoyed the cooler evening weather. Third day -
Bill was able to get on Griffon twice (sat in front first then in last row)
Griffon is a floorless dive coaster that has 3 rows and holds 30 people
He also rode Alpengeist once with no waiting! Alpengeist is an inverted looping roller coaster..

Its been sunny and very hot for this time of year,
Temps are expected to reach 96 degrees on Tues.

Exterior

There are mainly two different style building`s here
at Greensprings Vacation Resort in Williamsburg VA

Phase 1 - Buildings 1-2-3-4 near Fairways 16A

The older buildings in the front have 4 levels
with four sets of doors.. leading to the units

In our building the entrance door for C/D units are located on the
left and the right side of the building. Once you unlock the main
door you enter into a foyer and then walk up the stairs to the
C unit on the third floor and the D unit on the fourth floor.

The entrance door for the A/B units are located in the middle
section of the building with a stair case leading to the lower level.

Only two units share a main entrance door..
Making the hallway semi-private if you are only staying in a
two bedroom (half of the lock out) portion of the 4 bedroom.

The rear of the building has eight open patios
with a nice size round table and 4 patio chairs.
Our patios are semi-private with a tree setting.

The weather has been so nice that we have been able to
sit out and enjoy the covered patio everyday this week.

Our parking lot is on a slight hill and does not have but one
or two flat parking spaces - There are a lot of smaller trees
but for some reason there aren`t any shady parking spaces.

Bar-B-Q Grill - Picnic Area - Playground
Newspapers are within walking distance.

Welcome to my backyard!

We live about 20 minutes down the road in Newport News. The weather has been beautiful. For a few dollars more, you should be able upgrade those passes to include Water Country USA - it'll be hot enough! We've gone a few times (to WC) already and because schools have not let out yet, all the rides are walk ons.

Don't miss the music show in Festa Italia. And it'll be hot enough to ride the Roman Rapids, too.

Looks like you picked a great week to visit.

Colonial Parkway


June 3

Took a drive along the beautiful Colonial Parkway

Started by leaving out of Greensprings and then
across the back roads to Jamestown Island area

Stopped and took photos of most of the
brick bridges and scenery along the Parkway

Arrived at Yorktown National Park Visitors Center
(Fee if you do not have a Federal park pass)

Meet a nice couple who are staying at Powhatan

Greensprings (Plantation) Vacation Resort - Building One - Suites 2 C&D


June 5, 2009

We had a wonderful time and certainly two of the best unit`s at
Diamonds Greensprings (Plantation) Vacation Resort Williamsburg
Units were prefect for our Mid Atlantic Time Share Group Bar-B-Q
and Thurs Red Hat Society gathering at The Yankee Candle Shop

Everyone had a great time!

After a long rainy drive back
Route 60, I-295, Route 301N
We`re happy to be back home.

Directions to Resort:

Interstate 64 East Route 199, exit number 234, toward Lightfoot/Rte 199.
Drive Route 199 approximately 6 miles. Exit at Rt. VA-321/Monticello Ave.
Make a slight right onto VA-321 - Monticello Avenue traveling West.
Continue to drive straight (pass shopping area) go approximately 2 miles.
Greensprings Vacation Resort Entrance Driveway will be on the right side.
Be prepared to show reservation confirmation to the guard at gate.
