Formerly: Marriott, ILX, Westin, Diamond, Worldmark. Timeshare free as of 12/24.
We don't stay up, but we might be up. Titanic (if I don't tire of seeing it again and turn it off) doesn't end until 11:30, so I should still be reading at midnight. When I was a kid a decade change was a big deal, now it seems like same ol', same ol'.

Just finished my wife's delicious tuna noodle casserole. She is in her Mickey Mouse nightie. I am sitting with my baseball-size chemo pump in the pocket of my sweat pants. That's one ball that I don't want to see drop. We will be up til midnight because she wants to finish her wine. (slow drinker). I will be sober as a judge for the first time in my adult life. I guess that's a good thing.:cautious: Looking to put some space between this year and the next. We are young at heart, but the numbers do add up. And why do they call it, "Dick Clark's Rocking New Years Eve?"

Young! I would have preferred/predicted “old” but we are staying awake until the teens are safely home. We keep telling each other that some day soon we will miss this.
Happy New Year!

I was up, and a bit tipsy.
And I paid for it later in the day with a hangover.
Thank the Gods for football on New Year's Day.

We gathered with 5 couples, and really whupped it up. By about 9:30 there were yawns, but we all stuck with it and watched the Great Potato Drop in front of the Idaho Capitol Building. The bubbly was brought out. We all hugged and vowed to do it again next year. This ritual has gone on pretty well unchanged for at least a decade or two. Same 'usual suspects', all of us still above the lawn. So Far.

We were with friends in Sin City, and not only stayed up past midnight to watch fireworks on the Las Vegas Strip, but had late night pizza at 1:30! Felt pretty young!

Young?
We were dancing past midnight with people half our age. And we can still out dance them... Tequila helped.

Once owned these: FirstFairway@Walden X 2; Lawai Beach; ManhattanClub; PuebloBonitoRose; 4 South Africa--now timeshare-free
I was intending to be young and watch the Las Vegas fireworks on tv. I looked at the clock from my bed and it was 11:30 pm so I was ready to watch all the festivities and the tv was on. Unfortunately, I guess I was old because the next time I looked at the clock it was 1 a.m. and I had missed the fireworks. Bummer!
