Will be at Frenchman's Cove on Saturday...couple of quick questions

Hey guys will be at FC in St. Thomas on Saturday for four nights....cannot wait! Couple of questions I did not find answers to:

1. Is there WIRED internet service in the rooms? I saw there was Wireless but not sure about Wired.

2. Has anyone brought and used a Garmin GPS on St. Thomas and St. John? I saw there was a Carribbean program I could download to my unit but curious if anyone has tried there GPS there and if so any success? Obviously we are renting a car.

The web description only list's High speed internet access as Wireless

The wireless is in all rooms and very reliable and fast. I never thought to look for wired. I don't recall seeing it . You really don't need a GPS. The only place I found difficult to find was Mountaintop. Same wit St John,no GPS needed. Be careful renting from Hertz. Both times I was there they didn't allow their cars in St John. Have fun!

Looking at TWC they have St. Thomas as showery or scattered thunderstoms the next week or so. I'm not sure if this is the norm for this time of year. I don't normally put my credence in long-term forecasts but...

If you do the sales tour, can you ask the sales rep if they've started to sell EOY in the Gold and Silver seasons? When I was there (May 2008) they'd started EOY sales for Platinum but not Gold/Silver.

By the way does anyone have a phone number/email address of a good contact to give my room preference? We are trying to request a high floor and although it is in my Marriott.com preference would rather call them directly. Probably should have done this a week or so ago....

EDIT....I just called the hotel directly at 340-693-4800 and they took the room request for me. I requested Buildings 5/5A fifth floor FWIW. She told me that as you would have the best views from that building/floor combo.
