I have been all over the internet looking for some questions about the wii. I purchased one for my kids and they have the old game cube. My question is this. I know you can play the game cube games on the wii, but can you use the game cube controllers, or do you need to buy the classic controllers for wii. Thanks everyone! I hope I can understand this!

I don't know this for sure yet, as our Wii will be under the Christmas tree, but the guy at GameStop told me you can't use the Wii controllers for GameCube games, but you have to use the GameCube ones with the Wii machine. Don't quite see what the advantage is, unless you want to get rid of the GameCube machine and just have the one on the shelf

You need the old controllers for the old games. The advantage is one less thing to plug into the TV and take up shelf space. Once you have a Wii...you no longer need a GameCube.
