I had a couple transactions to complete for next year so I went online to see what was available at the Smokies Resort during a week in Aug I wanted and found it. I called up reservations and told the lady I wanted a 2 bedroom with pool view. First she said she could guarantee me a 2 bedroom but not with a pool view. I informed her it was extra points so it better be guaranteed. Then she said she had a room for 300K points. I said that is a Presidential room with golf view and I want a Deluxe room with a pool view. She said it was not showing up on her screen. I said I am online now and it shows here. I finally did the transaction online and did my other transaction with the rep. While we did that I again went looking for 2 bedroom and the pool view shows up again (as it should with the rooms they have). She claimed she couldn't see it because someone probably still had it on hold. Then why am I seeing it??? Then she told me my credit card wouldn't go thru for the points credit pool charge. After she read back the number she inputed, one of the numbers was wrong. Wondered if it was her first day!!
Anyway, does anyone know why the rep couldn't see what I saw online. Think it would be the opposite.
