Why not Tuesday or Wednesday?

I have often been amazed at many TS because they offer Friday, Saturday, and Sunday check-ins. I have been to TS where the check in is on Tuesday. While I know many people like the weekend check-in because they have exactly a "week or two week" vacation. We all know the airfares are always less expensive on Tuesday and Wednesday. I guess I have two questions: 1. How would people and TS's react to having more Tuesday and Wednesday check-in dates? and 2. Which resorts already have a Tuesday or Wednesday check-in? I know for purposes of planning an activity calendar and housekeeping routines a weekend check in is desired by the TS but I think those problems could be addressed and the rest of us that have variable time allocations would benefit from lower transportation costs. :)

We have Disney Vacation Club points and we can check in on any day of the week.

Aquamarine Villas has check in every day except for Saturday.

The canal boat timeshares in the UK have check-in on weekdays.

Why not Tuesday or Wednesday? Why not?

Many points based systems have check in any day of the week. It's called flexibility.

We stayed at both Kauai Beach Villas and Banyan Harbor Tues-Tues via Fairfield's RCI Nightly Stay program.

To clarify, I was referring to weeks resorts. It is true that most points resorts are available any day of the week. This is not true of European points resorts which generally exchange for stays in multiples of 7 nites.

Too many vacation days used for any checkin except Sat or Sunday if you have to travel more than a few hours. Fri to Fri cost 6 days of leave vs 5 for Sat to Sat or Sun to Sunday. If you are retired or independently wealthy, mid week check in no problem. If you are weathy, cost of airfare is of little concern.

We spend two months in FL and one month in CO in timeshares every year, and anything but Sat check in means looking for a motel for a night, and keeping all the refrigerator stuff cold for an extra day. My searches take check in day into consideration.

And Saturday happens to be a harder check-in day to get and trading power does matter...some weeks will pull a Saturday check-in and another week may only pull a Sunday...Weekday check-ins are more common in tropical areas for some reason, possibly bc its cheaper to fly then.
