It's been almost 5 years since we last made it to WKORV. Now we have a couple of young kids and can't endure that long of a flight, so we're "stuck" with WSJ and HRA. First world problems, I know.

Thanks for sharing those photos. Hope to be back there someday soon.

In the past, Owner Services would make a courtesy reservation for you, for the 2nd week. But it was actually made at 12 mos. - not 12 mos. + 1 week. The confirmation for the 2nd week was usually sent out early in the morning, before the phone lines opened at the 12 mo. mark.

But now that reservations opens at mid-night online, I'm not sure they still offer that option, because it's better to go online at midnight the night before the phone lines open.

Correct - you can call when line opens, and put in request - but you risk later timestamp for the 1st week.
It used to be that you could reserve the 1st week in studio and have them reserve the second week in the 1Bd (to get a good timestamp) and then cancel the studio. Before online - I did this after hearing about it from W5* (MIA), and it worked for the harder to get whale season - 5th floor B3 OFD.

Now with on-line - I would not chance it. I would (and do) go online at exactly 9pst and then do the same for the following week - and then contact SVO/SVN to have note put in file with each other's confirmation number so the Room Assignment person is aware.

I have been nothing but happy with locations at WKORV and WPORV - both by old callin method and new online method - but I have always reserved at 12 months.
