I've done two PFD. One with a white week from Christmas Mountain Village that had not previously been deposited into my RCI Weeks acct., and one of a Red Dikhololo week that had been in my RCI Weeks acct. for over a year.
The CMV White week came through in a few days. It's been 10 days since I initiated the PFD of the Dik week, and it still hasn't shown up (it did disappear from my Weeks acct. immediately, of course). I called RCI after 8 days, and again today, and both times was told "it takes at least 7 days for this to go through."
I asked why, and was told that someone within RCI has to verify ownership of the week, and then send e-mail to someone else in RCI. This confuses me, as RCI confirmed my ownership of the week when I deposited it into Weeks in the first place, so why do so again? Does it really take 2 weeks to process e-mail at RCI?
The guide was not able to give me a satisfactory answer as to what is so time consuming to do a PFD. I realize that many people are doing them right now, but if each one takes 5 minutes, one person could process almost 100 in a day, so what's the holdup? Madge, could you explain exactly what the process is so that I, and others like me, can understand why it takes so long to deposit a week that RCI already has?
Thanks,
sc
