Why do we always see the same side of the Moon?

I took this one here in Central Florida this evening behind some light clouds with my Nikon D810 and Nikkor 70-300mm lens, placed on a tripod and set it to timer. I think it gives some "Its The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" vibes!
