Why Can't I Pull Disney Timeshares on RCI?

I used to be able to pull tons of Disney timeshares at DisneyWorld. However, in the past 2-3 months, I haven't been able to pull a single one! I know this is not because I don't have enough TPU's, because I have more than enough TPU's. Does this has something to do with bulk spacebanking? Does anyone know when these will be available again?

There aren't any right now.

Make sure to search by the DV codes to make it easier.

Plus everyone is taking them pretty quick.

RCI's holding out for the $$$$$$$

They have none for exchange but over 30 for rent. They're suspect.

Went on RCI to play around. They have plenty of disney units in Extra Vacations for outrageous prices. $10,799 for a one bedroom unit in Jan?! They are nuts!

There is a unit that I saw that is "down" to $2219 for the week after thanksgiving, since it is about 30 days out, but obviously that price would still be a no go for me.

Wyn units too

It looks like the bulk spacebank units from wyndham are also almost all as Extra Vacation fr $1800 - e.g. Hawaii units.
So much for great exchanges any more

Do you look often?
Do you have at least 32 TPU's?
Are you an owner at an Orlando resort? (I am blocked from seeing DVC in one account with a Polynesian Isles week I used to own)
Have you tried ongoing searches?

All of the negatives people posted about RCI's renting DVC and Wyndham are surprising to me. You all know RCI rents DVC, and they have a huge rental arm, which DVC is thrilled to have for its inventory, which is overpriced on the DVC website. That is why RCI and DVC have this unbreakable bond, no matter how many complaints DVC owners make about RCI.

Wyndham and RCI are the same company, too.

I see lots of great possibilities for exchanges on RCI, so I am not complaining. Rick has only so many weeks of vacation, so I have basically been put on hold for a while.

I have plenty of TPU's to pull a Disney timeshare. I do use an Orlando area timeshare for RCI exchanges, but I have never had any problem pulling plenty of DVC timeshares on a regular basis. However, during the past 2-3 months, I have not been able to pull a single DVC timeshare! RCI is obviously taking the for themselves now.

No, RCI is blocking your ability to exchange into DVC. That is happening with my Wyndham account, which had ONE deposit of a Polynesian Isles week (Kissimmee, FL), and that has kept me from seeing any of the DVC. You are being blocked from DVC. My block is new as well. I couldn't use that deposit to get DVC before, but I could see some DVC, and now my entire account is unable to pull DVC in Orlando. I can see Disney's Hilton Head and Vero Beach with that account. I have another account without an Orlando deposit, and no problem with it.

I don't know how I am going to convince RCI I no longer own that PI week.

Don't shoot the messenger. I just have an awareness of the issue and don't think it's right that my entire Wyndham account is blocked from DVC because I used to own one lousy week in Orlando. Geesh.

I used to use my Sheraton Vistana Resort TPU's to pull tons of DVC timeshares in the Orlando area. Now, I'm using a combined deposit (which includes my Sheraton Vistana Resort TPU's to search for these), and I haven't seen a single one for 2-3 months! This really doesn't make sense unless this is a new block as mentioned in the post above.

Can people actually pull DVC's timeshares in Orlando now? Some people say there just aren't any available right now. Also, it really used to appear that these were bulk spacebanked, so that may be a factor.

Makes perfect sense. You are using a Vistana in Orlando in that combination of TPU's. You are being blocked. It's frustrating, I know, but DVC has a regional block for Orlando exchangers.

This is definitely a recent block then. I used to use my Sheraton Vistana Resort timeshare to pull tons of DVC timeshares in the Orlando area. Why would they decide to block it now? This is the part that doesn't make sense to me.

I have no Orlando block, and I don't see a thing.

Still Nothing

In the past six months I could search the old way (month-at-a-time), and ALWAYS find some DVC rooms. Not always when I wanted them but I could always see a few, and they would stay there for days at a time sometimes. I have actually made two reservations at DVC, one at Vero Beach and the other at BWV, in the past six months. Now I can't see any DVC rooms, zero. There is something going on. The only timeshares that I own are in Tennessee so I don't think that the regional block reaches that far.

There is something going on.
I don't know how many times you have to hear "inventory is cyclical" before you believe that, you know, inventory is cyclical.

But, no, you should not be subject to a block. Right now there are a handful of units in Weeks, but nothing in Points. There will be more. Be patient.

I'm suprised Disney Exchanges were good for so long (year)

I have over 100 TPU's and no Orlando block. I'm seeing 2 disney units for exchange and 34 units for rent (not counting the 3 and 4 day rentals, which I should count because they are just breaking up whole weeks) I know inventory is cyclical but they are adding new extra vacation inventory on a daily basis. The last 2-3 months have been sparse for Disney exchanges.
