Why are starwood resort resales so cheap?

Silver Season - Rental Better Option?

As others have said, the silver season doesn't have enough SOs to trade for much in the SVN.

Also, there seems to be a lot of availability for summer Scottsdale vacations rentals and II getaways. I think that you could rent or book a summer getway to WKV for about the price of the annual MF. (However, note that 2 bedroom II getaways are less common than 1 bedroom).

About the only scenario that I can think of that would support buying a silver week at WKV is if you (1) plan to vacation here every summer; (2) need a 2 bedroom unit and (3) want to schedule a year in advance.

magic number?

Glorian- Is 81500 the magic number to be able to exchange with other starwood properties?
David n Robin- I m thinking WKV-How does it compare to say HYATT Pinon point

81,000 Staroptions is the Max. any 1 bdm. will cost you in the Starwood system, so many people feel it's the minimum number of Staroptions to own, because it will get you at least a 1 bdm. at any SVN resort.
