Why am I not seeing any of the now rebranded former Diamond resorts in my HGVC portal?

We own 3 weeks at the Charter Club of Marco Beach. Owners at our resort are not allowed to buy into Max (presumably because we are Hilton managed, not Hilton built). . In our recent travels to the Outer Banks and to Maui, we've seen multiple resorts which have HGVC branding. These do not show up in our HGVC portal as bookable with our HGVC points. I can understand that Max owners should have the first opportunity to book the former Diamond resorts, but I am a little surprised that we wouldn't have some sort of close-in priority vs. non-HGVC RCI owners. Does anyone know if the former Diamond resorts will ever be bookable by non-Max HGVC owners via the HGVC owner portal?

I am not aware of any former Diamond resorts that have been rebranded to Hilton Grand Vacations Club (HGVC). They've been rebranded to Hilton Vacation Club (HVC). What properties are you referring to?

Hilton Grand Vacations is rebranding many of the former Embarc resorts to HGVC, but even still, they won't be available to book in the Hilton Grand Vacations Club. They would only be available if you are in HGV Max at 7 months.

These resorts are part of a different system. Why would they bring them into the same system to book as a Club booking at 9 months when they are trying to sell you HGV Max for tens of thousands of dollars?

Plus, if they were added to the Club to book at 9 months, it would also mean owners at those resorts could book other HGVC properties at nine months.

The answer is currently no via the HGVC portal, and I would expect it to remain a no for the future.

Short answer, no. They are making money from Max. The only option for HGVC Legacy owners is using RCI or buy a week at a property that is in DEX. There are Diamond properties in RCI but I think they have removed the availability to prevent that work around. The best option is to buy a week in a HGVC property that can exchange in DEX. It is a short list though, Bay Club, Plantation, and Craig Lodges. Maybe in Club Regency, it is in the DEX guide but I have not heard an owner commenting that they have gotten the invite to join.

Search on DEX in TUG, there are several discussions about it. Btw, I find Google easier to search TUG than the TUG search engine. Just put something like "TUG DEX"

Maui ... HGVC branding
Out of left field, I'll say "Nope. Hasn't happened. The only Diamond was the 1 on Ka'anapali Bch right?" So, you had better be VERY specific about what you are saying ... as should almost all OPs (whether they be newbies or vets) who ask questions about this type of thing.
W/o the specifics, you're asking if they'll demolish one of the main points ... values of Max. What you're asking for may be the only thing in Max that I'd value

Ka'anapali Beach Club has been rebranded to Hilton Vacation Club. I am not seeing where any former Diamond resorts have been rebranded to Hilton Grand Vacations Club and no one has come along to name one in reply to my previous post (#2) asking about it. I don't know where the OP is seeing or thinking there are a few that have been rebranded to Hilton Grand Vacations Club.

Even Diamond's mostly likely resort to be up to HGVC standard, Cabo Azul, was rebranded as Hilton Vacation Club.

@BxI sent you a PM

Cabo Azul, was rebranded as Hilton Vacation Club, which is now showing up in the Bluegreen MAX tab.

All Embarc members (even resale) will have access to DEX starting some time before October (October 31 is the date limit to deposit points into DEX without a late fee). We don't have the exact date yet however this was confirmed at our board meeting in May.
So the list is getting longer and Embarc has 9 locations + about 7 "complimentary" DRI locations in Europe, that can be booked without using DEX as well. The minimum point purchase for an Embarc membership is 6,000 points which can be bought for about $2000-3,000. Transfer costs $250 - no other costs involved.

I’m still learning how to used the HGV website, it is becoming more user friendly; but still confusing.
