Marriott Vacations Worldwide who acquired ILG (who happened to own Hyatt Residence Club) acquired Welk resorts with the plan to integrate it with their Hyatt Residence Club system. For marketing purposes, both systems are now named Hyatt Vacation Club. The two systems, former Welk and Former Hyatt Residence Club, still operate completely independent of each other. There has been no integration of the two systems.
