We are trying to streamline our finances a bit and have decided to sell one of our two timeshares. The problem is, I'm not sure which one to sell. I'm leaning toward an even year 1BR we own in Scottsdale and holding the two 2BR property we hold in Williamsburg. It's older, but it trades for two weeks. I didn't want to give more details so this would become an ad, so if you need more info, please email me privately. Thanks for any advice.

This is a bad time to sell any timeshare. In this economy, lots of people are trying cut costs, there are a lot of timeshares on the resale market, and the resale value of timeshares is really low right now. If it were me, I would hang on until the market improves and generate some funds to cover my maintenance fees by renting instead.

This doesn't help you with a rental or sale, but did you know that your SDO unit is a great trader with II because of the 3 day Starwood priority for other Starwood timeshares?

Here are some current prices, if you decide to sell the SDO week. They aren't very good. :( This info. is posted in the Owner Resources Sticky at the top of the TUG Starwood Board.
