Hi tuggers

I'm planing a trip for either summer 2016 or 2017 to Orlando. I like to start early ;)

Since I'm a HGVC owner I'm planning for 1 week at a hgvc resort. For the second week I don't know which resort to pick.

I like the Hilton resorts but I'm thinking it may be good to try something else too. I thought about booking a PH at one of the hgvc and use more points for the one week and use my Rci trader to find something else for the second.

I thought about DVC but since they don't currently deposit 2Br I don't count on getting a Dvc unit( though I have setup an ogs with my hgvc account)

Which resort have the same luxury and facilities as hgvc? I read bonnet creek should be nice and close to Dvc. I also own at vvp but only use it as a trader.

The resort should be kid friendly but I expect them all to be.

Regards

There is a very nice, Gulf-front HGVC timeshare facility in Fort Myers Beach called "SeaWatch", but I'm frankly not at all sure what "kid friendly" means to you.
Aside from being situated right on the beach, there is very little else of much interest to young children there (or anywhere else in Fort Myers Beach, for that matter).

Sorry I forgot to mention that it should be in Orlando. Thanks for your suggestion :)

Bonnet Creek is a great resort. They have a lovely lazy river. Not sure what kiddie programs they run, but IMHO you would like it. Many here like Orange Lake, but if they place you far from the pools, it is a pain to either drive or take the shuttle to the pool. I find that they nickel and dime you, een charging big fees for the tubes for the lazy river.

I would go for Bonnet Creek. I would love to take my grandkids there.

What about Holiday Inn Orange Lake or Marriott's Grande Vista?

May I also suggest Sheraton Vistana properties.

Just got back from Wyndham Panama City Beach. No midweek cleaning at Wyndham unless you are VIP Gold or VIP Platinum.

Exploria's Summer Bay Orlando has plenty for the kiddos to do.

Go for any DVC unit as an exchange - as almost all of STUDIOS have occupancy for 4 and most 1bdrs have occupancy for 5. Use that as a jumping off point and stay over. And then do a LAST CALL for under $500 as a place for the family to get together to eat and enjoy a great "pool" time.

The DVC unit & room keys (magic bands) gets you EMHs and parking at the resort and the parks for FREE.

Enjoy the idea that you will have a GREAT vacation experience - just think outside "the box".

Thanks everyone for all your good suggestions.

I'll keep my OGS and hope for the best, currently i'm searching for a 2BR, but when we get closer i'll change it to a 1BR if I haven't got a match.
