I know that is subjective, but most important to me is condition of the property, as oppossed to location, etc.

We stayed at the Wyndham Long Wharf resort. We were in the new building in a 2 story 2 bedroom that was really nice. We were very happy there, but you can't be guaranteed of being in the new building and if not the other 2 bedrooms don't have washers and dryers.

Remember there is a 'Newport' in Southern California too and us westerners may get confused by your reference :)

.... and this is in Wyndham category not the Marriott.

I was not confused. But alas I have not been to any of the Newports, so I can't offer a subjective opinion. (In spite of the fact that I have lots of them.)

Newport Onshore has the largest units with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen, gas fireplace, washer/dryer, and deck.

The fitness center consists of three machines squashed in a small space, and the indoor pool is always too cold. No other amenities or activities.

The location is fantastic.
