I looked at listing on AIRBNB, but it is way to slanted toward the rentee. IIRC, they could cancel any time up until about 30 days out with absolutely no ramifications, leaving you just a short amount of time to line up a new customer and being out the guest certificate fee.
Actually, I believe it's within 7 days.
Having said that, I have listed on AirBnB and while there are certainly negatives about it, it integrates with social media in a way that makes it more likely you have an indication of who you're renting to. A high percentage of inquiries I get on that platform are highly qualified (meaning, not a lot of lookie-loos that take your time and then want you to rent a 3BR Presidential out for $40/night).
Probably anyone you ask will have both success stories and tales of frustration for the platforms they list on. Some folks swear by Craigslist, others swear at it; Homeaway/VRBO have been around a long time with a stable (if somewhat aging) demographic of users; Flipkey has gone through 2-3 platform changes in the past 9 months and generates a lot of noise, but also a large volume of inquiries; Airbnb is growing the fastest and has a younger demographic. Some of the mega renters have ended up on sites such as expedia, booking.com, etc. but you'd have to have a huge number of points because the expectation there is "all the time availability".
Long story short; it's a tough business, there's no magic formula, and you might be better off checking with family and friends first to see if you can utilize your points to help them with a trip somewhere first!
If you do decide to list on Craigslist because it's free and gets high volume, be aware that Las Vegas is one area that is notorious for ads getting "flagged" or "ghosted" and not ever getting published. I've had much more trouble there than anywhere else listing on Craiglist (little to no issues in other locations).
