Which correct website to login to Tug2.com or Tugbbs.com ?

i got receipt from tugs2.com for membership ,,,

but login and pw works on tugbbs.com

??

Tug2.com is the membership side of TUG. @TUGBrian

There are two login systems, one for the TUG Bulletin board, and a separate one for your TUG Membership account. You choose the username and password for each of them separately. For your convenience we recommend that you use the same username and password on both so that you can use the same login parameters everywhere on the TUG website.

TUG actually owns a good number of different domains, many do different things and are even hosted on different servers!

https://tug2.net = tug homepage, advice section etc
https://tug2.com = TUG member only section, marketplace, ratings/reviews
https://tugbbs.com = online forums!


only the latter two have any login requirement anywhere on them, and while we urge owners to use the same login/pw for both to ensure its much easier to navigate the site...it is not required.

It would be better to recommend using different passwords to educate people to never use the same password for different login, use 2FA when available and use a password manager to create strong passwords and manage them.
