I’ve already check the members guide 2020, they don’t mention mandatory like Cozumel or Explorean Kohunlich, I think I made a mistake and It’s optional, they only mention fares.

Thank you, all! @mjm1 , @simon63 , @buzglyd, @Karen G & @geist1223 any resorts you would probably NOT go back to? Any you'd want to go back to ASAP?

We have owned at Hacienda Del Mar for 20 years and love going back every year. Very Mexican motif and have plenty of very good restaurants. Swimming is sketchy but Palmilla has a public beach and so does Chileno and Santa Maria. You need to rent a car to get around and San Jose del Cabo is a neat place with lots of restaurants and much more laid back.

It's been fun reading this post, and remembering those that I have visited over the past 20 years. Don't own there, so has always been an exchange. Here's my list:
Through Interval:
Cabo Villas
Grand Solmar, Lands End

Through RCI:
Haciendo del Mar
Marina Fiesta
Playa Grande
Pueblo Bonito, Sunset Beach
Pueblo Bonito, Blanco
Sandos Finisterra
Solmar Beach Club

Of them all, would have to say Grand Solmar, Lands End was my favorite; Finisterra, least.

Hacienda Del Mar is lovely but I prefer to be closer to town since we often did not rent a car.

Cabo Villas -- fun to be in the center of action, on the beach --- but too many units jammed together.

Marina Fiesta -- fun location but cannot see water other than Marina. Somehow I scored corner unit with huge deck including hot tub.

The one still on my list is Casa Dorada, in Medano Beach, oh and maybe Club Cascadas, based on comments.

Haven't stayed there, but an awful online video review of Tesoro would keep me away.
I am trying to choose between Playa Grande and Sandos Finisterra for 1 st week of October. My cousin is getting married at Sandos. Most of the group is staying there , but some are staying at playa grande. What did you not like about sandos ? What did you like about PLaya Grande ??

They are very close to each other. I haven’t stayed at Finisterra but Playa Grande is wonderful.

Finisterra was on a hill, kind of around the corner in town. It's an older resort. May have been remodeled since I was there.

Cabo Azul is amazing . . . I am looking forward to checking out the other resorts mentioned in this thread
I booked Cabo Azul for next January. Looks very much like a "GL" quality property (at least from the pics and the video). Looking forward to returning again to San Jose del Cabo, after CSL the past few trips (PB Sunset Beach and Playa Grande).

We stayed there when my girlfriend's brother let us use his diamond points. I had stayed at a few other diamond resorts before, and maybe it was just bad luck, but they were dumps . . . so my expectations were rather low for the Cabo Azul. Then we arrived and I was truly amazed at the quality of the resort.

so long as you do not get stuck in some of the no view rooms. Or 'partial" ocean view can mean if you go out on your patio` and lean out you can catch a sliver of water but your main view is the Timeshare next door. We are Cabo Azul members and choose a Unit over looking the Serenity Pools.

as a "member" does that mean you are in Diamond, or are you a member of that specific resort without a Diamond tie-in?
