I just paid $15 through PayPal so that I can see the DVC sightings from RCI. how do I find this list now?

If you're logged in look through the forum categories until you see one that says sightings/distressed. That board notes all desirable sightings including Disney.

tlstir, you're still showing as a Guest on TUG. Check out this link to one of the pages that can be found at the "BBS Help" section on the blue bar above, to learn how to activate your TUG Membership.

Once you've done that the Sightings/Distressed forum will be at the bottom of the list at this link.

Good luck, and don't hesitate to ask if these instructions aren't clear. :)

??

Just wow. I'm having the worst time figuring this membership stuff out. Talk about "like pulling teeth".... I have read everything and STILL CANNOT get this to work... $15 is a lot to pay just to have to feel frustrated. Anyone out there have any way to actually give advice that will work? :wall:

The directions Susan posted should guide you through it. It's actually a bit simpler than it sounds.

Welcome to TUG! You're going to love what you can learn here.

PayPal takes longer to process, per Sue's first link above: "Note that if you paid your membership fee via Paypal, this is the one online payment option that must be processed manually at TUG's end, so your membership does not go into effect instantly. You will be sent an email when your submission has been processed."

Don't give up!! I felt the same way:wall: when I first joined TUG. If you are serious about becoming a time-share "expert" for your family, this is the best $15.00 you will ever spend.

I sent you a PM with the Disney sightings for today.

Geeeze, that doesn't exactly inspire warm feelings of goodwill among those who are trying to help you.

If you've followed the directions and are still having problems after you've been, "sent an email when your submission has been processed," we can ask Admin to take a look at your account. It's not unusual for folks to not realize that registration is a multi-step process, but it would be unusual for registration to fail if the directions are followed.

A Paypal payment must be processed by a human - it's not automatic. If you just paid yesterday, it may not have been processed yet. (Check your email and spam folder to see if you've received a response from TUG.)

Once it is processed, you will receive an email explaining how to change your status from guest, to member - be sure you watch for the email, and follow the directions.

confused

i was sent an email something like, 8 hours after sending payment, and i thought that was the correct email. it was not. the email everyone refers to you getting actually came about 2 days after i signed up. i had given up, then that one came. and i didn't mean the "advice that actually works" comment the way it might have seemed typed out. i was pretty frustrated and started to wonder if i got ripped off

However, it appears that you still haven't changed your status to "member."

You have to do that yourself, by adding the member code that you were sent to your profile.

finally figured it out

finally got it to change to member just now. what a process! sorry if anyone was offended, that was not my intention

Yeah, I've been a member for at least 5 years and am still trying to figure out the handshake. I have the first 6 moves down pat, but just can't get the closing right. :)

Seriously, you will find the $15 you spent to be the best you ever spent on timesharing!

Yeah 15 bucks is a lot of money.. I feel you pain.. Now if the 15 bucks saves you $15,000 you might not feel so frustrated in the process which can be a bear.. try closing that window and restart the process of login.

I find that helps when using chrome.
