Most of us on this forum have been taking over WM memberships for no costs to us. You could give it back to Wyndham through their give back program. You might try Facebook groups. You could try here at Tug in the market place or give away section.

You could try the Worldmark owners forum.

Wow, has the WM gone down that bad? I paid something so I was hoping to get some back at the end but giving away free sounds like WM is trashed.

I paid about $1,000 for 6000 credits for our first resale WM. Less for the second and third. Closing cost only for the fourth. Nothing for the fifth.

I have a membership that I'm planning on giving back to WM later this year. The reason I won't try to give it away is the transfer time has increased to up to and sometimes over 6 months. If you add in the time it takes for someone to take it or to sell it , it's probably going to cost some mf's at the very least. If the transfer goes sideways you have to start over.

It's kind of a bummer that Wyndham has ruined resales with the long transfer time and higher cost to transfer.

How long does it take if you just give it back to WM?

I'm not sure but have read anywhere from a few months to a year using the the certified exit plan. Those ass wipes will try to milk every cent of mf out of it is my guess.

I just paid $360 out the door for 7,000 points, with last year's points still available. I lucked out with an early afternoon auction and distracted or frugal competition.

They're all like this to one extent or another. The bad ones you couldn't even pay people to take off your hands. Probably only Disney timeshares have historically held their purchase price with enough time, though you are probably still taking some loss with inflation.

someone is trying to give away 65k WM credits annual account for free (per recent post) :-(

I "volunteered" to take an 8K credit membership from Timeshare Nation about a month ago, AFAIK it's still processing. I would advise patience above all else.

@mountainboy thank youuuu for making me aware of this! @CO skier & I connected and I am getting the 65k membership! woot woot I feel extremely lucky and will have to find ways to repay this karma and kindness to others in the world as this is just an impossibly kind and amazing gift!!!! THANKS @CO skier and thanks to everyone at TUG who continues to improve my life on a weekly basis. My vacation game is up 100000% since becoming a member and learning from everyone on here how to plan, hack and take more vacations!!!

Oh yeah, LOTS of patience. This takes 6 months, according to the most recent updates I've seen.
I just closed on my purchase and it only took ~70 days. YMMV of course.
I'm sorry but I got my purchases switched. I bought a Wyndham contract. :( Brain fart.

So you have access to the WM account you purchased?
I just edited my post. I bought a Wyndham contract not a WM contract. But they are handled by the same "back office" aren't they?

It's weird I never heard "boo" from Wyndham about the finalization of my purchase. Checked my Wyndham acct one day and there they were, 89K pts.

Sorry about the confusion.
