Where have you found your best deal for a cruise, and how far out did you book it ?

Does anyone know if there are opportunities for single travelers?

Many. Once again, simply check cruiseplum.com and it will show you solo traveler pricing and permit you to search, filter, and sort the list in multiple ways.

If you’re interested in river cruising in the USA, American Cruise Lines includes cabins built specifically for singles in many of their ships. On our Columbia River cruise in April 2022, my dad had his own cabin right next to ours and didn’t have to pay the outrageous single supplements other lines charge.

I find it easier to select the cabin we'll want by talking directly to the cruise line. For example, when the ship docks, we prefer to be on the side of the ship facing the port (rather than facing out to sea). The cruise line agents have usually been good about assisting with that.
I was told by a cruise agent that in general it is the left port side. That's why they call it "port"

However we had a landing or two where we were facing away from port, but that was okay - we had a beautiful view of the fjord.

I use crucon and book during their promotions.

I usually get 10% back in OBC plus an additional $100 OBC in loyalty bonuses. This is in addition to them paying the gratuities. If I book on RCL - they will also throw in a specialty dinner.

That would confuse too many people here with reference to the exchange company...

Hahaha. I didn’t suggest we use it here! It’s just another which is occasionally used for Royal.
