I have 2 weeks at parkway international resort ( orlando ) I want to give away both weeks, deeded, free and clear.

hopefully with no expenses on my end.

week 19 annual

floating week odd years

kids are too old and have no use for out weeks.

what happens if I just stop paying the maintenance fees. what legal action if any will the owners take again me. will they try to sue me, or just be happy they can resell my weeks. I'm canadian.

thanks

Most commonly, they will ding your credit history with a delinquency, and they will foreclose on the weeks if they ever determine they need it to resell.

Your week is off-season since it falls between Spring Break and Memorial Day....You may need to come to terms with the idea that you will need to lay out closing and transfer costs to even give it away.

There are no charities that will accept the donation of a timeshare for free.

Most of the so-called charities just make the minimum charitable donation to qualify as a charity, and charge the donors a fee of hundreds/thousands of dollars.

Runs ads on Craigslist or eBay to sell it for $1. On Craigslist, you can run ads in Atlanta or Memphis or any large city where people can drive in one day and might want to do Disney each year. You have to do all the pepper work with a quit claim deed and making sure the name gets changed at the resort and recorded with the county clerk or pay a closing company to do it.

I advertised my Pensacola Beach property in Atlanta and New Orleans and found a dozen people that wanted it. I was able to coordinate everything while living in Hawaii. It is not hard, but it takes time.
