Well, actually, we'd like to fly from Montgomery, Alabama.
Our dates are Nov 23 - Nov 30
We'd appreciate any advice on timing our ticket purchase!
We generally travel on Delta.

You are travelling the week of Thanksgiving! It ain't gettin' any cheaper.
Wait much longer, and all you may find are 6AM departures.

From Atlanta, the cheapest seem to be AirTran and USAir ~$400/RT.
From Huntsville, Northwest has a ~$350/RT, but with 2 stops, ea.way.
BTW, Southwest has a NS from Birmingham, but its not any cheaper.

I agree. Buy your tickets NOW! As we get closer to Thanksgiving, you might well find there are no seats at any price on your chosen dates, especially November 30.

From MGM, everything seems to be around $600+
I guess it is the return flight that's making thing so costly.
We just got a trade into the Marriott Grand Chateau, so that's why I'm looking a bit late. We didn't know where were were going!

I'm at Grand Chateau now. I have spent a great week here and will be checking out in a few minutes. I hope you love it as much as I do. I'm an owner and this is my second stay here this year.

If you are willing to take a red-eye back home, you can fly on Northwest for about $425 per person on those dates. Try it on Orbitz or another travel site first, find your flights and then save a few bucks by booking directly with NW.

Dave,

How's the WIFI in the units? We'll be there Thanksgiving week. Any suggestions on room requests?

It's been over 30 years since I've been to Vegas -- I'm sure it's a completely new city since then.

My choice would be high floor, Strip view. Take binoculars and check out the construction at City Center - the huge project directly across the Strip from GC.

WiFi worked fine for me both last month and in July when I was there. Not the speed of light, but much faster than dial-up and faster than in some other MVCI resorts (such as Grande Ocean and Custom House).

For both trips I was in town for bridge tournaments. The July tournament was at the Hilton, so I walked 10 minutes to the monorail stop at MGM and took the monorail directly to the Hilton each day. Last month's tournament was at the Riviera, so I walked 5 minutes to the Deuce (double-decker bus) stop in front of Planet Hollywood and took the bus each day. It's easy to get around without a car....
