I'm planning on sending my husband to a couple of NFL games for his 50th. As a Canadian he has never been to any. They just posted the schedule but how and when can I get tickets to just a couple of games?

When do NFL tickets go on sale?

That sounds like a great idea for your DH's 50th Birthday.
I doubt that even season ticket holders have as yet received their tickets.
Recommend you go to this site periodically to see what is available and when they are available.

Depending on the team and it's popularity you will have to adust your search accordingly. Some games will be sold out before the season starts and others might go begging for attendees.

Wow I can't believe that stadiums that large would be sold out by season ticket holders. I have been on the NFL site but it isn't very informative I had to search elsewhere to find out when the schedule was going to be posted and I have not seen where they say when tickets go on sale. I would assume that all unsold tickets would go on sale at the same time. I believe ticketmaster in Canada can sell them but we called and they didn't seem to know when they would go on sale. I'm hoping I don't have to go the e-bay etc direction but if I have to I do have a friend who seems to have access to tickets. Thanks for the info I'm looking for two tickets to a game in Dallas and two for a game in Houston are these stadiums usually sold out?

You can go to the site and click on Tickets and then Sales. From there you have access to ask your specific questions.
If memory serves me correctly Ticketmaster is the official source for single game tickets when they actually do go on sale. According to some who have posted at variious sites asking about tickets the input varies as to when they will or have already gone on sale. No doubt, as you know, some season ticket holders have listed individual games at Stub Hub and other such sites.

Not only are Green Bay tickets sold out, people wanting season tickets wait about twenty or thirty years before something comes available.
