What's wrong with Interval International's systems?

Yesterday morning (Monday), I got a message from Interval International that they were holding a unit for me until the end of the day. I tried calling many times throughout the day and kept getting a recorded message that their office was closed. I also sent an email requesting a call, but never got an answer.

I've continued to call today (Tuesday) and still keep getting the same message: The office is closed.

Does anybody know what's going on?

Thanks!

What number were you calling?

Unless your request was for Disney, its likely that they are trying to offer you something different to what you have requested, so be prepared for disappointment when you do get through.

I discovered and emailed the II email address for Tug members. There was (and still is) a problem with the phone number listed in the email. After a lot of recorded messages, it tells you that the II office is closed, and then hangs up.

The II email contact for Tug gave me a different number that worked. Usually, I turn down II's alternative offers, but I took this one. It was not automatically confirmed because it had a partial kitchen rather than the full kitchen that I preferred in the request (Marriott Maui Club).

The II agent that I talked to with the working phone number told me that she had received the same complaint from other II customers. I wonder how many gave up before finding a working number.

To those who responded: Thanks for your responses!

Did you use the 1-800-interval number or others on the II website?

Initially, I used the number that the email told me to call (1-800-822-2920), which constantly said that the office was closed. Later, I used the number that the TUG Interval International account told me to use (1-800-468-3782).
