I am booked into Phoenix for Jan 21-28, 2007..would like to make a 2 week trip out of this...only availability in II is premiere Vacation Club & Sedona Vacation Club at Los Abrigados Resort and Spa (SDN & SD3). There is lots of availability.....why? Is there something wrong with these places? I read the reviews and the last few talked about needing renovating or not having yet been renovated. Would you choose to go to these resorts. Thanks. Linda

Simple, It can be cold

Sedona in January can be as cold as say North Carolina or maybe Virginia in January. It is not uncommon to have snow (although not this year). When I first came to Arizona in the 1960's (yes I am that old), I did not bring any cold weather clothes from Pennsylvania. Of course, I was in the Phoenix area and thought all of the state was desert. It is not and about November I about froze. We actually have four different climates here. Sedona is not in the desert. Since we live in both Arizona and Florida, I can tell you that your state is warmer than even the Phoenix area in the early months most of the time (again not this year). Tourists usually come to our fair state in the winter and want warm weather. That is why you find the availability tight in the desert and open elsewhere.
