We had a traditional Thanksgiving with only our household only, untraditional.
Our son’s family lives 2 hours away, after dinner we packed a care basket with extra stuffing, and a favorite sweat potato pie dropping it off to them so they could have a traditional taste of Thanksgiving. Having two young kids, the youngest struggling with only breast milk throwing up other foods, momma can’t get sick.
Talked for a half hour in the driveway, turned around and came back home.
Was not planned, but going out of our way to give them some extra love felt good, we had nothing better to do, seeing them gave us a little “norm” so it was good for us as well.
They really appreciated it saying we really didn’t need to but glad we did it.
25 years from now they would do the same thing also to see there kids.
Keep safe, and God bless!
