What will you do?

I want to eat things I do not know how to cook. Sleep late. Swim. Do something so unexpected I can not predict what it is. Go to 3 museums.

I will eat junk food and not feel guilty. I will walk every day for enjoyment. I will play tennis. I will shop for fun, not practical stuff.

On our next vacation, we will be enjoying all our favorite things on St. Marten - Orient Beach, hanging out at Divi pools, trying a new restaurant or two and revisiting some of our favorites...and just relaxing. Since my oldest daughter is a senior this year, it may be the last time she'll be able to do spring break with us, so we want to just enjoy being at one of our favorite places. She's bringing a friend who hasn't traveled much and it will be fun to see the island fresh again through her eyes.

We are leaving for ours in about 5 hours. We will be staying at the Marriot on Mallorca. Our S DIL and GS will be joining us. We have not seen them since Aug 2006. That is what happens when you live on "The Far Side". We will relax visit eat and do some sight seeing. Mostly just a good old fashion family Thanksgiving but just in a totally different locatiion. I will try to post a recp when we return.

Unfortunately our next vacation is not until early May, but....we will spend it laying around at one of our favorite beaches (Palm Beach in Aruba), drinking Pina Coladas, reading books that have nothing to do with work, and enjoying dinners at several of our favorite restaurants as well as two or three new ones....wish it was tomorrow....:D

On our next vacation (which starts next week in Barbados), I will sit on my lounge chair on the beach in the shade and read the book I haven't had the chance to start. I will swim in the beautiful turquoise water and enjoy the warmth of the sun. Hope this doesn't sound too corny, but with our yucky weather I just can't wait.
Cheers

Nothing major till Easter break and then we are planning a trip to DC to sightsee and visit friends in Baltimore. Summer brings a trip to my beloved Hawaii at Paniolo Green with my best friend and my husband and I are going to Vancouver and the Canadian Rockies in the summer. Hawaii and the ocean feels the most relaxing, but I like to see new things, too.

1. Read books I never have time to at home.

2. Hopefully swim with turtles or at least some beautiful fish.

3. Really have time to talk and listen to our best friends who are going with us - we're all up to our necks with work and (adult) kids and (older) parents, hopefully we'll have some time to just enjoy each other's company.

Our next vacation is to escape the winter snow (if we ever get any!) We will head to Palm Springs for a week and then Cave Creek, Az. the following week in late January. We will read, do a little hiking, visit a museum and mostly eat in. Then we'll fly off to Hawaii for a month of warm tropical breezes, Mai Tais, some shrimp or steak on the barbeque, and lounging by the pool. Not a lot of eating out or paid tour stuff this time. The supposed non-recession that is supposedly not happening has eaten into our travel budget. This may be our last long distance trip for the foreseable future. Maybe even driving type trip. There is a nice timeshare with-in bicycling distance from us. That may be our option in 2009.

Things I like doing on vacation:

Read books (I don't sit still at home long enough to read)
Watch sunrise over the ocean
Indulge in massage (i guess i do that at home though also...:D )
Hike new places
Explore local groceries and markets
Drink umbrella drinks

Stay OFF my computer!!

Leaving tomorrow for Florida :whoopie: I plan to play several games of golf, do some shopping, who knows maybe lots of shopping with our dollar being so much better now! I also plan to sit by the pool and read some books. It seems I never have time at home. Also some sightseeing as we have never been to Sanibel Island or Marco Island and of course go out to some nice restaurants for dinner a few nights a week. We will be away for 23 days!

Lynn :cheer:

Abaco-Bob, Wishing you a great time - I lived there for almost 30 years. Have you been before? Will look forward to hearing about it.

Lynn, Likewise have a great time. The beaches on Sanibel & Captiva are very nice. Lots of people go shelling on Sanibel beaches - when we still lived in Europe I took the prettiest shells back with me! There's a lovely natural park to visit, I think it's called JJ Darling, something like that. The weather here at the moment is just FAB - it's cool for November - but the highs where you're going will be in the 80's.

Our next vacation is Thanksgiving weekend in Tahoe! We are going to enjoy the snow (which we don't have at home, and my east coast DH needs to see to have his fall-fix.) We are going to play poker slots, and I'm either going to get 4 aces or a royal flush or maybe both! :D We are going to see Tracy Lawrence at Montbleu, and we are going to sleep in, eat some good meals, and have a few adult beverages!

1 month 2 days till our Florida trip.

Things I want to do:

Take a water taxi and walk the beaches in Fort Lauderdale

If weather is good tube down the lazy river at Orange Lake Resort

See Christmas around the world in Epcot

Catch the Bugs Life show at Animal Kingdom

Survive the Tower of Terror at MGM
