What was your most surprising T/S vacation?

For me it was Blue Ridge Village, Banner Elk NC. When I booked it I had no desire to go there, did it for my husband as he loves the mountains and hiking. I remember on our drive there I was dreading it.

I fell in love with the area and resort. It was so beautiful and I ended up having a fantastic time. I have been back again. This coming year I have a trade in June and we actual acquired a timeshare to own during the foliage season for free.

Made me realize I have to try places I think I might want to go.
 
The 2 most surprising for us were Camaron Cove (Indian Rocks Beach FL -- 2011) & Taranova Imperialakes (Mulberry FL -- 2005), both because they were so different from the style & mood & feel of the typical Orlando-Kissimmee FL & Las Vegas NV timeshare resorts.

Camaron Cove, right on the Gulf Of Mexico, is side-by-side with other condo buildings & private residences. It's more like a condo or apartment building. At Camaron Cove, the attraction is location-location-location right on the beach.

Taranova Imperialakes timeshare units are halves of duplex houses, each side a separate 2BR-2BA dwelling. The whole neighborhood, consisting of the Taranova duplexes & a few others (all virtually identical), is adjacent to the Imperial Lakes Country Club, a major bonus for golfers. For non-golfers, it's a pleasant & relaxing but remote location, out in the country about 19 miles south of Lakeland FL.
