Thanks for reminding me about the White Album! I never got the CD version so I haven't listened to it in many years.. After digging around the basement for awhile, I found the record. I'm listening to it now.

Glad I could jolt your memory. Which did you prefer. White Album or Sgt. Peppers’? It’s always been The White Album for me. Sgt Peppers’ always seemed like Pauls’ vanity project to me. While I like it, The White Album, possibly because it was a double album, allowed everyone to shine at various times throughout.

As for vinyl, I got rid of my collection over several years, eventually having nothing left but my Beatles records. I finally gave them to a friend of my daughters when we made our move to Florida 3 years ago. I didn’t have anything to play them on anyway.

I bought Sgt. Peppers when in first came out in 1967. I was totally amazed at how they took advantage of the stereo imaging. At the time, all I had was a portable record player. I'd lay on the bed with the speakers on each side of my head. I was totally immersed in the music, although the only mind altering drug I tried at the time was beer. I like it because it was so innovative for it's time. I didn't get the White Album until a couple years later. I still like the songs on it, because the melodies can be such ear worms, but Sgt. Peppers still wins out. I also played Revolver and Rubber Soul many times while I was in college.

Oh, I'm embarrassed to type it now but it was Elvis Presley's Blue Hawaii.

Those two are my absolutely favorite Beatles albums. It took me some time to appreciate Sgt. Pepper and the White Album - I wasn’t far enough into life yet when they came out, and I focused on the words. Now I like to focus on the music - the individual guitars and other instruments.

Sgt Pepper was pretty good but the Magical Mystery Tour was better for me. Then came Paul McCarthy & Wings Ram which was better than the Magical Mystery Tour, imo. I like all of the Beatles albums but only had the White Album, Sgt Pepper & Magical Mystery Tour.

My first record (45), was Rings by Cymarron (1971). I still love to hear it. First album was GP by Gram Parsons (1973).

Night at the Opera — Queen
Love will keep us Together - Captain & Tennille.

Bought them at Record Factory think they were $3.33 each.

Looks like my little sisters collection. She also had a Carly Simon album in the mix.

My mom had this record.
