What to do with a dog trader in RCI?

I inadvertently turned a good trader into a dog by depositing three months short of a year in advance. I need some advice about how to make the best of a bad situation. I know about Orlando, Williamsburg, Branson, and the 45 day flexchange. But none of those techniques are working for me right now.
I tried to get into Silverado II in Winter Park for the December 5 week (so early in ski season that most rational people consider it low-season). It was available, but I couldn't get it as an exchange. I booked it as an Extra Vacation for half my maintenance fee.

Someone will ask what I want at this point: I've been trying to get Morritt's in summer of 2009 or 2010, but can't see any weeks at that time. I'd like to get the Village at Copper Mountain in early December 2010. I'm open to other suggestions. What I don't want is to put in an ongoing search that can never match no matter how many deposits are made.

But an ongoing search is the only way you will get those higher demand weeks. Just keep in mind that they won't match until about a year before the check in, because the owners usually have to make their reservations a year before and then deposit it into the exchange company. If there is an ongoing request in the system, it will be matched to that exchange before it is publicly available. I finally realized that's what I have to do with my exchanges, even though I have a pretty good trader, you need to be at the head of the line.

Same thing here, I deposited only 9 months in advance. Im only showing 79,000 units, as opposed to the normal 120,000

I will put in an ongoing search if I can figure out what might have a chance of matching (with help from all you TUG experts) .

That's the RCI policy, but I don't trust it. Just this week I found a unit online that should have matched one of my ongoing searches, but didn't. And this isn't the first time :wall: And of course, if the deposit with the ongoing search doesn't have enough trading power, or has the wrong VEP, it will never match :bawl:

Oh, I didn't notice the part about RCI. I trade with II, so I don't know from RCI. I saw the part about "Silverado II" and my mind saw Interval. Good Luck!

one year in advance

I bought a timeshare week that I've been told is a great trader with RCI as long as I deposit one year in advance. Do I need to wait until exactly one year before the check-in date to get the best trading power?
