What is up with RCI? Seems less and less participating venues (and availability)

I've been looking around RCI the last few months considering other places to visit. But I'm noticing a trend> more venues are being removed from RCI's search.

Example: there used to be a couple places in DEN. Nothing fancy, just regular hotels. But book for the week and it works out rather well. Same with Nashville, San Diego and other locations. But now, there is nothing even listed in Denver.... what's up with that?

Anyone have insight on why this might be happening (or perhaps suggestions pointing to "user error" on my part)?

You book hotels a lot with RCI? That doesn't seem like a great value.

Are you looking at the RCI Directory, or looking at the availability?

I haven't noticed any significant changes in the Directory, but availability can certainly come and go depending on the time of year.

I'm getting to RCI from the HGVC site.

No, I don't book hotels via RCI much ever, but they used to have a 5 night stay in Nashville at a place I've been before and the cost would have been $300 for all 5 nights. That is half what it would be otherwise, so in that case it would be worth it. There were some options in downtown DEN with a similar type offer and, again, that would have been worth it for the 5 nights around Union Station. But now, they don't list anything. Just seems odd to me.

It's probably the deposits not occuring, not RCI, they don't own the resorts.

I've seen those 5 day deals, mostly from Wyndham.

I've never really explored HGVC RCI. What are the gems there? I'll have to explore now that I have so many HGVC points.

The 3, 4, 5 day trades are not as common as the full weeks. I find in season many are not offered. Whereas they are less in points a full trade fee occurs plus recently I have seen cleaning fees up to $120 added and sometimes resort fees too.

I noticed a new hotel exchange booking option feature on WorldMark's RCI portal (see screen captures below).
Perhaps all of the hotel related inventory was moved to this new booking option page. But I don't see this option offered on HGVC's RCI portal.

I’ve noticed significantly fewer ‘Exchange Plus’ listings so this may have something to do with what you’re noticing.

I enjoy not having to sift through all of these listings when I know I’m never going to use them as their pricing currently stands. It’s felt so much less clunky, and more time-freeing, especially when looking through specific regions like Florida’s Northern Gulf Coast which went down from consistently having 40-50+ listings to now having <10 available.

I’m sure seasonality has a role here as well, but I definitely noticed drop in listings at the same time ‘Exchange Plus’ all but disappeared from the main pages.

Last time I checked, you can uncheck the exchange plus box if you are not interested.
