Off subject but I’m curious is there a housekeeping fee for everyone? Even owners? This is above their yearly maintenance fees?

It is for UDI owners only. 72 Timbers owners, lots of cottage owners, vacation club and fixed week owners do not pay it.

I spent the week back and forth with a possible renter checking me out to see if I am a scammer. last night he told me he would take the Christmas reservation but would pay me when he arrived. So I get all the risk and h3 might find a last minute lowball rental.
When I actively rented, my absolute policy was that until I had money in hand, there was no rental and I would continue to list. I didn't do reservations. The reservation goes to the first person who produces money.

If they whined that there were other sites that would allow them to make a reservation and pay on arrival, I would tell them to book at one of those sites. Of course, the those sites (hotels.com, booking, com, expedia.com) charged about twice my rates.

Yes, you are exactly right about the cost. And I will absolutely not hold the unit for him until he shows up, or not.
